Erection disorders

What are erection disorders?

Erection disorder is the term used to describe all problems caused by an inadequate erection or no erection at all. The erectile capacity of the penis — potency — is insufficient. It is a very common phenomenon that appears mainly in men between 40–70 years of age. The erection disorders are also known as impotence. It is important to know that impotence is not infertility.

What is an erectile disorder?

It is a very sensitive condition when a man is unable to achieve an erection even under sexual stimulation, or when he cannot sustain it long enough to have satisfactory sexual intercourse. Erection disorders appear most often in men after the age of 45. It is related to the natural ageing of the human body and to the increasingly common diseases of old age.

What do erection disorders mean for women?

Yes, erection disorders of a man can also affect women. It is mainly a loss of libido, i.e. a reluctance to have sex, or an inability to achieve the arousal necessary for sexual intercourse. In women, psychological phenomena usually cause these problems. The causes are stress, feelings of inferiority, unattractiveness, feelings of slenderness, or anxiety. However, this problem can also be caused by ongoing traumas of sexual abuse from the past.

The causes of erection disorders

Erectile disorder can have numerous causes, which can be both physical and psychological. The physical causes include narrowing of the blood vessels in the sexual organ, which is often associated with high blood pressure (hypertension), high cholesterol, diabetes, hormonal problems, or even surgery or injury. Psychological causes of erection disorders include depression or problems in relationships. Psychological erectile disorder is in most cases only a temporary affair, but even so, working on its elimination is essential to restore the lost quality of life. Frequently, people affected by erection disorder are very ashamed, and they consider the treatment of this problem very sensitive, even embarrassing. Moreover, despite this fact, it is critical to communicate about erectile disorders, either with a trusted person, or with a doctor. In most cases, psychological erectile disorder does not return after it has been successfully eliminated.

How is erection disorder caused by stress?

Erection is divided into three types in the professional world: reflexive (as a result of physical stimulation), psychogenic (as a result of visual or mental perceptions) and nocturnal (during sleep). These types of erections mentioned here link important physical systems and processes. Erection disorder can be caused by the elimination of any one of these processes. The physical systems and processes necessary for erection include mainly: nervous system, veins, muscles, hormones, and emotions. Erectile disorder caused by stress is one of the most common problems of this kind. Always remember that stress and mental health can affect many situations as well as conditions in your body.

Stress can be caused by various factors – both positive and negative. Everyone has their ways of coping with stress. The factors that are considered to cause stress can be different for each individual. If erectile disorder is caused by stress, it is the lighter version of these erectile complications. Stress can, for the most part, be eliminated.

Stress occurs in the following situations:

  • Confrontation,
  • problems in married life,
  • dates,
  • legal problems,
  • loss of employment,
  • divorce of marriage,
  • new job,
  • conflicts in partner life,
  • illnesses,
  • money,
  • and many others.

Sexual intercourse forms a natural part of a healthy and full life of an adult human being. Therefore, the lack or complete absence of the intimate sphere can cause further serious inconveniences.

Treatment of erection disorders

Erection disorder (e.g. erectile dysfunction) is not completely curable in numerous instances, but its signs can be eliminated. So, what can be done? To cure it completely, it is important to diagnose the causes properly. The most commonly used medicines are those that contain the active ingredient sildenafil citrate. This group includes, for example, Viagra, Cialis and Levitra, and possibly also the generic forms of these medicines. Sildenafil ensures the widening of the veins, in which the blood flow then increases, resulting in better and easier blood circulation, especially in the sexual organ. Thanks to the improved blood flow, an erection can be achieved during sexual stimulation.

The treatment of erection disorders has made significant progress recently, and more and more men are daring to tackle this problem and restore the quality of their lives. Another effective way of treating erection disorders is with vacuum pumps, which help blood flow through the sexual organ, leading to an erection. In 90% percent of patients, this cure is successful. Psychological procedures include various sexual therapies.

The drug Kamagra

Kamagra is a generic sexual enhancer (replacement medication) that is identical to the patented original Viagra. Kamagra comes in several forms, from the classic pills, through jelly, chewable tablets to effervescent tablets, depending on your preference. Kamagra is taken about one hour before planned sexual intercourse, and its effects last from about 4 to 6 hours. Each dose contains 100 mg of the active ingredient sildenafil citrate, which causes the blood vessels to loosen and consequently, blood flow to the genitals to improve. Increased blood flow to the genitals is the first step towards a better erection. However, the effect of the drug can also be negatively influenced by some factors. Therefore, one should follow the instructions for use and not consume alcohol or fatty food while using the drug. Only small or no risks of side effects have been observed with Kamagra. However, it is good to know that the following may occur:

  • Weak headache
  • Heat waves
  • Indigestion
  • Nausea
  • Full nose or symptoms of the common cold
  • Back pain
  • Impaired vision
  • Muscle pain

If the symptoms of the side effects appear, seek medical help immediately. Further steps of the treatment must be consulted by the doctor.
